The 2026 Paris Motor Show opens to the public from October 13 to 18 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, following a press day on October 12. To enjoy the show without sacrificing comfort, the best starting point is central Paris: from the Opéra, Champs-Élysées, and Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhoods, Metro Line 12 takes you directly to the entrance of the exhibition center.

2026 Paris Motor Show: Dates, Location, and Must-See Highlights

The 2026 Paris Motor Show is the 91st edition of the world’s oldest auto show. Organized by Hopscotch in partnership with the Plateforme Automobile (PFA), it occupies five halls at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, in the 15th arrondissement, covering approximately 70,000 square meters of indoor space and 15,000 square meters of outdoor space.

Several dozen automakers are expected to attend. French brands Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, DS, and Alpine will be joined by Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, as well as a large Chinese delegation featuring BYD, XPeng, and Geely. Two exhibits are drawing particular attention from enthusiasts: a reimagined Citroën 2CV and the return of the Lancia Gamma as a fastback crossover.

Plan on spending a full day exploring the five halls. Many enthusiasts, however, choose to visit twice: once on a weekday to see the booths in a quiet setting, and then during a Friday or Saturday evening event—which stays open until 10 p.m.—to enjoy the atmosphere.

Why stay in central Paris rather than at the Porte de Versailles?

Staying in the heart of Paris lets you enjoy both the hotel and the city. On weekdays, the Mondial closes at 8 p.m., leaving you the entire evening to dine in the Golden Triangle, catch a performance at the Palais Garnier, or stroll along the Left Bank.

An apartment also offers what a hotel room can't during a busy week. Each The Lander location features a fully equipped kitchen, a living room for entertaining, and hotel-quality linens, with regular housekeeping included. For a group of collectors, a family, or a team attending the press day on October 12, it provides a shared space to prepare for the visit and gather in the evening.

Check-in is self-service, starting at 3:00 p.m., using a secure code sent to you before your stay: no need to wait in line at the front desk after a day spent walking the show’s aisles. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m.

How do you get to the Paris Motor Show from your apartment?

Metro Line 12 connects downtown Paris directly to the Porte de Versailles station, located in front of the entrance to the exhibition center. It stops at Madeleine, just a stone’s throw from the Opéra; Concorde, at the foot of the Champs-Élysées; as well as Rue du Bac and Sèvres-Babylone, in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The trip takes about 25 minutes from Madeleine, without any transfers.

For a more private trip, our concierge service can arrange a private driver. The concierge service is available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. via WhatsApp or our app, with 24-hour emergency assistance. They can also advise you on tickets and the least crowded times.

Which The Lander neighborhood should you choose for the trade show?

Three of our six neighborhoods are served by Line 12. These are the most convenient options for World Cup week. Our apartments near the Louvre are also well-located: Line 1 takes you to Concorde in just a few stops, where you can transfer to Line 12 to get to the venue.

Opera: The Most Direct Choice

From the Opéra neighborhood, the Madeleine station takes you to the show without having to transfer. In the evening, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps on Boulevard Haussmann, the Café de la Paix, and Place Vendôme—the cradle of fine jewelry—are just a few minutes’ walk away.

Champs-Élysées: The Historic Avenue of the Automobile

The Champs-Élysées neighborhood has long been a showcase for automakers in Paris, and the Grand Palais hosted the Paris Auto Show for several decades before it moved to the Porte de Versailles. The Concorde metro station, at the bottom of the avenue, offers direct access to the show. For an overview of our listings, check out our article “Luxury Apartments on the Champs-Élysées: What to Expect.”

Saint-Germain-des-Prés: A Quiet Corner of the Left Bank

In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Rue du Bac and Sèvres-Babylone stations bring the total number of stops to about ten. After the tour, the art galleries around the École des Beaux-Arts, the Café de Flore, and Les Deux Magots offer a very Parisian contrast to the exhibition halls.

Paris and the Auto Industry: Beyond the Auto Show

Paris has a history with the automobile that spans more than a century. The very first international automobile exhibition was held in 1898 in the Tuileries Garden, just a few minutes’ walk from our apartments near the Louvre. The show then moved under the glass roof of the Grand Palais before relocating to the Porte de Versailles.

Make the most of your stay by following this route: a walk from the Tuileries to the Grand Palais, then up the Champs-Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe, traces the major milestones of this history over a distance of about 3 km.
